What Is Mirror Polishing?

Working Process

1. Material Preparation

Metal sheets or plates are selected before polishing. The material surface should be flat, clean and free from obvious scratches, oxidation marks or serious surface defects.

2. Surface Cleaning

Before polishing, the material surface is cleaned to remove oil, dust, oxide scale and other impurities, ensuring stable polishing quality.

3. Coarse Grinding

Grinding wheels, abrasive discs or Scotch-Brite discs are used to remove oxide layers, weld marks, scratches and visible surface defects.

4. Medium Polishing

Wool polishing discs or suitable polishing media are used to remove coarse grinding marks and improve surface flatness.

5. Fine Polishing

Fine polishing materials, such as sponge wheels or other professional polishing media, are applied to enhance surface brightness and prepare the material for final mirror finishing.

6. Servo-controlled Mirror Polishing

During mirror polishing, the servo control system precisely regulates polishing speed and conveying speed. Combined with polishing paste, nano-alumina polishing liquid or special polishing compound, the machine produces a smooth, bright and highly reflective mirror surface.

7. Cleaning, Drying and Film Laminating

After polishing, the material is cleaned and dried to remove polishing residues and moisture. A protective film can be applied to protect the mirror surface during handling, transportation and further processing.
