The LEBON MACHINERY 8K Mirror Polishing Machine is designed for high-quality mirror finishing of stainless steel sheets, plates and coils. It is suitable for producing a bright, smooth and highly reflective 8K mirror surface widely used in premium decorative and industrial applications. Through continuous grinding, polishing, compound circulation, cleaning and drying processes, the machine helps stainless steel materials achieve excellent surface brightness, flatness and reflective consistency.
8K mirror polishing machine is designed for producing high-gloss mirror finish on stainless steel sheets, plates and coils. With continuous grinding, wet polishing and polishing compound circulation, it delivers smooth surface quality, excellent reflectivity and stable production performance.
Super 8K mirror polishing provides higher gloss, lower surface roughness and better reflective consistency than conventional polishing. It is widely used for decorative stainless steel, elevator panels, architectural cladding and premium metal products where appearance and surface quality are critical.
In stainless steel surface finishing, 8K refers to a high-grade mirror polishing standard. The letter “K” represents the polishing and reflectivity level of the surface. A higher K value, such as 10K or 12K, generally indicates a finer and brighter surface finish.
For most high-end decorative applications, an 8K mirror finish already provides excellent reflectivity, clear image reflection and premium surface appearance.
Stainless steel sheets or coils are selected before processing. The material surface should be flat, clean and free from obvious scratches, oxidation marks or surface defects.
Before polishing, the material surface is cleaned by chemical or physical methods, such as pickling, degreasing or electrolytic treatment. This process removes oil, dust, oxide scale and other impurities to ensure stable polishing quality.
Grinding wheels or Scotch-Brite polishing discs are used to remove surface oxide layers, weld marks, scratches and other visible defects.
Wool polishing discs are used to reduce coarse grinding marks and further improve surface flatness.
Finer polishing materials, such as sponge wheels or other professional polishing media, are applied to enhance surface brightness and prepare the material for final mirror finishing.
During medium and fine polishing, polishing paste or nano-alumina polishing liquid is used to achieve a bright, smooth and highly reflective mirror surface.
The machine is equipped with multiple groups of polishing discs. Each group can be configured with different polishing heads according to coarse grinding, medium polishing and fine polishing requirements.
Stable and uniform polishing pressure is essential for achieving consistent surface brightness. Excessive pressure may reduce reflectivity or cause surface defects.
Effective cooling is required during polishing to prevent overheating, oxidation or color change on the stainless steel surface.
All grinding and polishing steps should be carried out in a consistent direction to ensure uniform surface texture and stable mirror quality.
Residues must be removed after each grinding or polishing stage to prevent secondary scratches and maintain the final mirror effect.
Typical target surface roughness: Ra ≤ 0.05 μm
Measured at a 60° angle, the gloss value can typically reach 700–900 GU. With optimized processing conditions, it can achieve 900 GU or above.
A qualified 8K mirror finish provides clear image reflection, high surface brightness and excellent reflective consistency, making it suitable for high-end decorative stainless steel applications.
