Surface Status	Terms Definition	Main Applications
2B	- Continuous, matte silver-gray surface, smooth to the touch, reflects blurred images. - Process: Hot-rolled (black surface) → Hot annealed pickling (No.1) → Cold-rolled (VKS) → Cold annealed pickling (2D) → Flattened (2B)	- Widely used as the base for many further surface treatments (No.3, No.4, No.8, HL, #320, SB, vibration, bead blast). - Applications: General hardware and various industries.
2D	- Continuous, matte silver-gray, rougher to the touch, non-reflective. - Process: Hot-rolled (black surface) → Hot annealed pickling (No.1) → Cold-rolled (VKS) → Cold annealed pickling (2D)	- Suitable for deep drawing applications, such as automobile components (exhaust pipes, fuel lines), and industrial pipes.
2E	- Continuous, matte silver-gray, rougher feel, non-reflective. - Process: Hot-rolled (black surface) → Hot rolling (HRM) → Cold-rolled (VKS)	- Suitable for deep drawing applications like precision steel strips and small hardware.
BA (Bright-Annealing)	- Smooth, bright, reflective surface with high corrosion resistance. - Process: Hot-rolled (black surface) → Hot annealed pickling (No.1) → Cold-rolled (VKS) → Bright annealed (BA) → Flattened (BA)	- Easier to process into a mirror finish than 2B, more expensive, sometimes replaces mirror surfaces in low-end applications. - Used in home appliances, mirrors, doors, frames, panels.
No.1 (Hot-Rolled Surface)	- Rough, dark silver surface with oxidation scales, harder texture. - Process: Hot-rolled (black surface) → Hot annealed pickling (No.1)	- Suitable for industrial containers, fasteners, and pipes. Polished for specific surface finishes (HL, No.8).
No.3 (Coarse Sand)	- Polished with abrasive grits #80~#100. - Surface has a good luster and sparse streaks.	- Used in large venue decoration, indoor decor, elevator cabins, kitchen equipment, home appliances, and medical equipment.
No.4 (Snow Sand)	- Polished with abrasive grits #120~#180. - Surface has finer streaks than No.3 with better luster.	- Used in similar applications to No.3, with finer finishes.
HL (Hairline)	- Continuous hairline streaks polished with #180~#320 abrasive.	- Often used in elevator cabins and decor that require a continuous hairline texture.
No.8 (Mirror)	- Polished to a mirror finish, highly reflective, corrosion-resistant, durable coating that doesn’t fade. - Can be colored through additional treatment.	- Used in architectural decor, elevator cabins, industrial decor, and as a base for plating, etching, and laser engraving.
Anti-Fingerprint Coated Finish	- Coated with a transparent, durable nano-metal film that resists fingerprints.	- Ideal for elevators, automotive interiors, home appliances, and high-end kitchen and bathroom fixtures.
SB (Scotch-Brite)	- Smooth, clear-textured finish for high-end products.	- Primarily used in high-end home appliances (mostly for export to Europe and the U.S.).
Vibration (Circling Finish)	- Polished with specific oscillating polishing head to create circular patterns.	- Applied in architectural, elevator, and industrial stainless steel decor.
Beads-Blast	- Silver-gray surface achieved by blasting fine particles.	- Used in mobile phones, home appliances, kitchenware, industrial and medical equipment, decor for elevators, and more.
Ti-No.8 (Titanium Mirror)	- Mirror-finish stainless steel with a titanium coating in various colors (black, yellow, rose red).	- Applied in decor and panels for buildings, elevators, and high-end interiors.
Ti-No.4 & HL (Titanium Satin)	- Hairline finish with titanium color coating.	- Used similarly to Ti-No.8, but with a satin texture.
Etched Finish	- Chemical etching on a mirror, brushed, or bead-blast base to create patterns.	- Used in architectural, elevator, and other decor products.
