Successful Delivery of 16 Sets of Super 8K Mirror Polishing Production Line to Russia Customer

In March, 2022, a Russian company ordered a set of 16 sets of super 8K polished mirror production lines from LEBON. The production line mainly includes: stainless steel super 8K polishing machine, washing machine, drying machine, stainless steel PVC laminating machine and other related supporting production equipment. After the online commissioning of both parties and the inspection of the third party, the equipment was successfully transported to Russia in early June.

Mirror stainless steel plate refers to the mirror effect produced by mechanical polishing on the BA, 2B or matte stainless steel surface. 8K is just a general term, because each customer has different requirements, it can be rated from 6K, 8K, 10K to 12K. The difference of mirror grade is the test of surface roughness and gloss. Grades can be divided from 6K to 12K.

The standard for defining 8K : roughness: 0.04 μ m; Gloss: above 500;

Definition standard of super 8K: roughness: 0.02 μ m, gloss: above 600.

Generally, 8K polishing machine has 8 polishing discs as a group, and a set of 8K machine production line needs 12-20 groups for polishing. The more groups, the higher the grinding efficiency and the better the effect. The sheet or coil of stainless steel enters the 8K main machine by clamping, and the polishing disc in the main machine rotates and grinds. At the same time, the groups are staggered from left to right and swing evenly to cover the polished plate area. Generally, there are two processes: rough and fine polishing, with different grinding fluids and grinding materials. After the grinding is completed, enter the cleaning and drying equipment. If the film needs to be applied at last, use the film applicator to apply the film, and then complete the whole processing process.

At present, 8K machine needs to be polished by adding nitric acid and iron oxide (aluminum) powder grinding liquid, which has certain pollution to the environment. Reducing or even abandoning polluting chemical processes is the direction that LEBON has been advocating and developing. So far, we have achieved acid free 6K polishing. Especially in the cooperation with pharmaceutical, pressure vessel and other tank manufacturers, LEBON's acid free 6K mirror equipment has been sought after.

We will make a technological breakthrough in the acid free (super) 8K mirror polishing process and put it into the market soon.
